Barcelona has signed a deal with Sevilla for the signing of French defender Jules Kounde.
On Thursday, the Catalan giants announced this on their website.
Kounde, whose fee is estimated to be over €50 million, becomes Barcelona’s sixth signing after Franck Kessie, Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen, and Raphinha.
“Barcelona and Sevilla FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jules Olivier Kounde, subject to the player passing a medical and signing terms,” Barcelona said in a statement.
Jules Kounde was born on November 12, 1998, in Paris. His ancestors were originally from Benin. He began his career at modest clubs on the outskirts of Bordeaux, in south-eastern France. At the age of 14, he passed his first trial and joined the youth divisions of the professional squad, FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
