Award9ja News Reports: 1Million households in Nigeria benefits N20,000 cash transfer | COVID-19 .
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Federal Government has that only one million Nigerian’s whose names are appears on National Social Register (NSR) would get the N20,000 from the Federal Government as relief fund for the economic impact of the lockdown in some states.
National Coordinator of the National Social Safety-Nets Coordinating Office, who was on interview with Guardian, said the National Transfer cash transfer Office, worked with various states Governors to develop the NSR of poor and vulnerable people in 35 states.

On March 29th, during his address on the pandemic, President Buhari gave an executive order for Lagos, Ogun and the FCT be on lockdown beginning from March 30th due to the high number of Coronavirus cases recorded in these places.
He further instructed that as part of efforts to cushion the effect of the economic impact of the lockdown, N20,000 pallative would be paid to vulnerable households through the social investment scheme.
